Dear Moose,
Well, we've made it to our last Friday of the school year! This week was busy and fun. We had our Kindergarten orientation and playgroup, a fabulous 5th grade folktale performance (see picture included below!) and a visit from Ollie the comfort dog! Ollie is a certified comfort dog that is owned by the Swift River Principal, Kelley Sullivan. Kelley brought Ollie to SES today and many students were able to have some time with him. He was a BIG hit! I have included some pictures of students with Ollie in this Roadtown. Only students who wanted to visit with Ollie did (which was almost everyone!). We hope we will get to have Ollie back at SES multiple times next year. He goes to Swift River School 3 times a week with Kelley!
Field Day is Monday, June 14! Mr. Carra created a surprise t-shirt for everyone for this event. Some teachers sent the t-shirt home with students today, while others kept them at school for kids to change into on Monday. The image on the front of the shirt is Mr. Carra "mooseified"! Please make sure to send your child to school with the t-shirt on (if they brought it home), a hat, water bottle, SNEAKERS, sunscreen and bug spray on. There are no parent volunteers or visitors this year, but we can't wait to invite everyone back for this event next year. The PTO has purchased delicious (and organic!) popsicles for the students. They love the tradition of a cool popsicle after playing!
Wednesday, June 16th is the last day of school. Students will be dismissed at 11:30. We will send a lunch sign up if you want a bagged lunch sent home with your child. We will also be sending home report cards.

It's time to return all of our SES library books! Notices went home this week and included information about how to pay for lost library books.
