Dear Moose,

It was lovely to see many parents and guardians at our Open House on Wednesday evening. Teachers spent time creating presentations that can give a picture into students' school-lives for the coming year. School Committee and PTO representatives spoke about their respective groups and parents and guardians were able to gather together in the gym. I shared some ways that families could be involved/volunteer/help at SES. I have included the list below-- please consider helping! If you are thinking about volunteering we will need you to complete a CORI form-- you can get one in the office.

  • Library helper
  • Lunch/Recess helper
  • Club "supervisor" during recess
  • Safety Committee
  • PTO
  • Artist-in-Residence helper

We have two parents who will be on our School Council, Rebecca Fil and Carrie Hawkins. Thanks Rebecca and Carrie!

Grades 5 and 6 went on an exciting excursion to Morse Hill on Thursday. They spent the day involved in teamwork and physical challenges. Teachers and students report that it was a fabulous and truly memorable trip. We have included a few pictures of the event.

This is a reminder to complete any forms if your student is interested in taking lessons from Mr. Peelle or Mr.

I have spent some time this week working on bus behavior. Some buses are experiencing students who are being loud, changing seats, and not acting safely. Please spend a few minutes talking to your child about bus behavior. Students should talk quietly, stay in their seats, keep hands and feet to themselves and be respectful to the bus driver. I appreciate your assistance in this matter.

I hope you enjoy the weekend!
