Hello SES Moose!

Happy Winter Solstice!  The shortest day of the year happens to be our last day before winter break.  The school has been a-buzz with activity this week.  We had a fabulous Family Folk Dance on Tuesday hosted by our music teacher, Hannah Berube.

The preschoolers also performed some wintery songs for their families on Tuesday.  On Wednesday the Kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade held a craft day, moving between their classrooms to make popsicle stick snowflakes, doily snow people, straws and sparkles snowflakes.

The 5th grade presented skits, poems and rap songs to their 1st grade buddies on Thursday.  Throughout the week Olivia DiDonna and friends organized a Red Panda Fundraiser, making crafts and coloring books and selling them to donate to the World Wildlife Foundation.  They raised about $370 for this cause!!  And today we are wrapping up for the year - cleaning out cubbies and keeping classrooms busy and quiet (or trying!).

From all of us at SES, we hope that you have a wonderful break filled with family and fun and that 2019 is your best year yet!
