Dear Moose Community,

What a fabulous performance last night by our students and staff! A huge thank you to Marilyn and JJ Sylla for their residency at SES this past week. The students were enthralled with the African dancing and drumming. We are grateful to the PTO for their support of this special tradition at SES.

We hope you all have a fabulous break filled with love, light, family and friends. We will see everyone back at SES on January 3, 2018!

In peace,

Jackie

***MOOSE INTERVIEW OF THE WEEK***

Arin from 6th Grade!
AA

JCB:  What is your favorite thing to do at school?
AA:  Probably creative writing.  We just finished a unit on fiction creative writing and that was awesome.

JCB:  What is your favorite food?
AA:  Any Indian food.  Last night we went to a really awesome Indian restaurant – Bombay Royale in Northampton.

JCB:  What is your favorite thing to do outside of school?
AA:  When there’s a play happening, rehearsal, and when there’s not, probably read.

JCB:  What are you reading right now?
AA:  I’m reading Inkspell, the second book in the Ink World series.

JCB:  If you could be any animal what animal would you be and why?
AA:  Probably be a cat because cats can do so many awesome things that humans can’t.  They can fit into tiny spaces and they’re adorable.

JCB:  Is there anything else you’d like the Shutesbury community to know about you?
AA:  I’m going to India in January for 2 months.  I’ve written the book [script], music and lyrics for a musical.  I write and/or adapt musicals.
