Winter Recess – NO SCHOOL

February 10, 2017

Dear Moose,

I came across this comic and thought it accurately described my feelings this week:

cartoon

It was a short 2 day school week! I am crossing my fingers and toes in the hopes that we have a full week before vacation!

Our PE teacher, Mr. Carra has created a 6-week after-school club on Mondays for students in grades 4-6. This club will run from 3:15-4:00 on Mondays from February 13-March 27th. We have included a flyer and sign-up form in this edition of the RTN. Mr. Carra is very excited to facilitate this fun club. If your student is in grade 4-6, please consider this fun opportunity!

Valentine's Day is upon us. Many teachers are communicating specific classroom requests through email. If your child is bringing in valentines, please be sure that there is a valentine for every student in the class.

On February 14th, grade 6 will go on a field trip to the Smith Botanic Gardens! Also, Grade 2 will host a Poetry Walk!

Please remember that February vacation will be the week of the 20th-24th!

Have a great weekend (hopefully with NO precipitation!),

Jackie
