***MOOSE SIGHTING!!***
Dear Moose,
It has been so fun to see the Shutesbury Moose hats, sweatshirts and shirts that students received over break. Many thanks to the families that purchased them and to the PTO for organizing and facilitating the process.
The upper grades have been busy planning and participating in activities around this year's MCBA (Massachusetts Children's Book Awards)- Mash-Up books! Ms. L has been working with students to encourage the reading of MCBA books and participation in fun events to earn points to attend the MCBA party(with Swift River and Leverett Elementary Schools!) and competition in March!
There are 5 people from the SES community that will be performing in Amherst Leisure Services Community Theater's musical, Shrek. Fifth graders Arin Andrews and Forrest Carvalho, Ms Becca, Mr. Josh and I are all performing in the musical! The show runs Thursday-Sunday this week and next week ( 9 shows). If you're looking for a fun, warm activity to do in the next 2 weekends, join us!
We do not have school on Monday the 16th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Have a great weekend!
