December 16, 2016

Hello Frosty Moose,

The students have been treated all week to our Artist-in-Residence visiting circus artist, Joshua Shack from Circus Smirkus! They have been twirling plates, juggling items, magically working with scarves, balancing feathers and much more! Feedback from students has been very positive about this Artist-in-Residence experience. Unlike the shows the last several years, this year's show is not a "performance", Instead the students will be able to demonstrate some of the skills they learned this week to their families. The exhibition is tonight!  We are asking that students wear bright clothing and arrive at school at 6:00pm for a 6:15pm start time! At our Circus evening you can also purchase baked goods and raffle tickets from the PTO with the chance for your student to pie Ms. Hermans or myself in the face! Special thanks to the Mass Cultural Council and the SES PTO for making this happen. Hope to see you there!

Once again I want to clarify that to be able to play in the snow, students will need waterproof boots, snowpants, coats, hats and gloves. To be able to play outside all students should be wearing a coat (not just a sweatshirt) and hat/gloves. We play outside until it is lower than 12 degrees (we also keep the wind chill in mind). If you need assistance with any winter gear, please let us know and we can assist you.

Next week is our final week before December break. We have an early release on Friday the 23rd at 1:00. We also have picture retake day on Tuesday the 20th.

Hope to see you at the SES circus tonight!
