Hello Moose,

The weather is warming up and the birds are singing!   Spring is here and so is our busiest time of year at school.  There are so many wonderful fundraisers, community events, field trips and programs coming up.  I'll highlight a few to put on your calendars: 

  • Friday, May 11 – 6th Grade Spaghetti Dinner, PTO Raffle and Book Sale, 6:00pm
  • Sunday, May 13 – PTO Mother’s Day Breakfast at the SAC, 9:30am-12:30pm
  • Wednesday, May 23 – Kindergarten Open House (no current kindergarteners attend), 9-10:30am
  • Wednesday, May 30 – Strings Concert, 10:30am & 6:30pm
  • Thursday, May 31 – 2nd Grade Poetry Walk, 8:45am
  • Monday, June 11 – 3rd/4th Grade Field Trip to Hitchcock Center, 9:30-11:30am
  • Monday, June 11 – 6th Grade Boston Field Trip

Kindergarten Visiting Day

 Wednesday May 23, 2018

 9:00-10:30

This day is for children who will be entering Kindergarten for the 2018-2019 school year. Children must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2018

Incoming Kindergarteners will visit the classroom, have a snack (provided by us) and play on the playground. Parents will meet the Kindergarten teacher, have a brief overview of the Kindergarten year, and fill out registration forms.

**Please note on this day there will be no school for the present Kindergarten class.**

 BL

JCB:  What is your favorite thing to do at school?
BL:  My favorite thing to do at school is Art.  I like to paint and draw.  It’s my favorite things.  I want to be a real painter when I grow up.

JCB:  What is your favorite food?
BL:  My favorite food is chocolate.  Well, melted chocolate because I can, like, drink the chocolate and it gets all mushed around in my mouth.

JCB:  What is your favorite thing to do outside of school?
BL:  My favorite thing to do outside of school is play with Legos.

JCB:  What kinds of Legos do you play with?
BL:  I build Lego sets like Lego Star Wars and Lego Batman.

JCB:  If you could be any animal what animal would you be and why?
BL:  I would be a cheetah because I can run super fast.

JCB:  What are you looking forward to this summer?
BL:  I’m looking forward to hanging out with more friends.  I’m also excited to go to my new school because I’m moving to Erving.

Spring Awakening

Yoga in Nature and Wildflower Identification Walk

May 12, 10 am - 12 pm  

Certified yoga instructor Janice Doubleday and naturalist Valerie Wisniewski combine their passion for yoga and nature to lead a gentle yoga and wildflower identification walk in Wendell State Forest.  Yoga poses will be taught throughout the walk as students learn to identify spring ephemeral wildflowers.
